City Market has launched a new Localvore raccoon image throughout their store highlighting localvore items.  They currently have local sunflower oil from Quebec, apple cider vinegar from Quebec, local beans, local cornmeal,  along with their regular local wheat products.  They also have a Localvore brochure highlighting where to find local food throughout the store.

All Local Bread is available!  Randy from Red Hen Bakery will be making a special Localvore Loaf and delivering it to City Market on Wednesday mornings.  Be sure to look for it and purchase it.  He’s using grain from Ben Gleason in Bridport, VT and Tom Kenyon in Charlotte, VT.

O’Bread is going to make an all local pizza dough and have that available at City Market.  Also Turkenbrod bread is all made with local VT, NY, or Quebec grains.   Deiter’s bread is currently being made with local grain; Deiter’s label’s have a hand written “local” grain on them when they’re able to get the local grain.

Have a great challenge.  I hope to see you September 17th to share stories and food.

I’m enjoying the abundance of tomatoes that are coming from our garden right now – I think I’m eating at least 6 a day… incredible.
